As Elk Meadows springs to life, we are creating opportunities for community that respond to the diversity of life styles and needs of different people. You can choose to live in privacy on a 3 to 5 acre lot, or in a neighborhood of one acre lots designed to foster more interaction, or on your own large ranch. Whatever your desire, and wherever you live within Elk Meadows' ten square miles of beautiful rolling lands, there are opportunities to participate in activities, enjoy a sense of community, and live together as good neighbors.
The amenities at Elk Meadows are designed to foster community in a variety of ways. Our extensive trail system (over 100 miles), ponds, lake, pavilions, community gardens and orchards, and farmer's market bring people together in chance encounters. We've also designed places for people with shared interests-a Johnny Miller Golf Course, a large equestrian center, small local riding rings, many sports fields, and a community center that provides a place for arts and music, clubs, and community and family gatherings. Elk Meadows will also be home to a retreat center where people--from all walks of life, from all faiths, and those beyond our community--can be nourished by the peace of this land.
And in all we do, we seek to consciously honor the land and the heritage of this unique area--from the architecture of our community center to periodic events that emphasize the cultures, histories, and arts of the many peoples who have inhabited this land for thousands of years.
