HISTORY - CASTLE ARCHES
|
Castle Arch is known as one of the most beautiful natural arches in Canyonlands National Park. Being very high and graceful, with only a thin sliver of sandstone at its apex, it is about 200 feet wide, 150 feet high, and perhaps 6 feet thick at its thinnest point. It is believed that because of its age, there are only a few centuries left before it collapses. Castle Arch often reminds tourists of Landscape Arch in Arches National Park.
