HISTORY - BRYCE CANYON

Bryce Canyon National Park transcends 2000 feet of elevation, and has three distinct climatic zones: spruce/fir forest, Ponderosa Pine forest, and Piņon Pine/juniper forest. Because of the diversity of habitats, Bryce Canyon provides for high biodiversity among the different types of wildlife. Here at Bryce, you can enjoy over 100 species of birds, dozens of mammals, and more than a thousand plant species. Bryce Canyon has some of the world's best air quality, offering panoramic views of three states and almost 200 miles of visibility. Add onto that the lack of nearby man-made light sources and you can find amazing opportunities for stargazing.
